BBE originated high power LED eutectic packaging technology, owns the first eutectic LED packaging line in the world. Currently, traditional silver epoxy LED packaging is the most commonly used type of packaging for high power LEDs. This type of packaging is widely applied to low power LEDs. Silver epoxy LED packaging cannot resolve the high power LED heat dispatch problem and will lead to the sharp degradation of LED brightness and lifespan.
BBE originated modularized LED street lighting for easy installation, disassembly and maintenance, but most LED street light manufactures in the market only supply “sole plate” street lights. These are lights in which the LEDs are mounted on a single complete plate with silver epoxy high power LED packaging. The whole street light has to be replaced after one or more LEDs have malfunctioned or the brightness has been degraded, and the replaced LED can not be reused.
BBE adopts the patented 1W LED Emitter technology in which each LED is a single light source. With this technology, assembled 28pc or 24pc as one module resolves the heat issue and possible street light replacements due to single LED failures. Some manufactures package multiple LED chips into a “super power” LED, for example 20W or higher, and this can make heat dissipation difficult. Once one LED chip is broken, the entire “super power” LED will not work. Furthermore, it is not available for the second light distribution design.
BBE created the patented rectangular beam pattern lens especially for the road to make the best use of the LED light source and to address the issue of uniform luminosity on the ground. But most other manufacturers are still using the traditional round beam pattern as traditional lamps. This can not efficiently make full use of all available LED light source, thus making the center very bright, but very dim at the edges. In addition, round beam pattern will make the space between the two closest lamps dark.
